Jack Meal Thermal Bag User Guide
To cook
Bring the food to a boil on the stove, then place the pot in the bag. The bag will continue to cook the food for you (for up to 5 hours).
1. Boil your ingredients
Place the saucepan on the heat and sauté your ingredients in oil/butter.
Add your dry ingredients.
Add water/broth and bring to a boil.
When the water is boiling thoroughly (100°C), turn off the heat and cover the pan with a lid.
2. Put your saucepan with its lid in the bag
Place a protective cloth in the bottom of the bag to prevent soiling.
Place the saucepan in the bag.
Place the bag's cap on the pot lid.
3. Close the bag and let it cook
Close the bag using the drawstring.
Make sure the bag is properly closed.
Let it cook without reopening the bag.
4. It's ready!
Open the bag. Careful, the pan is hot.
Take the saucepan out of the bag.
Serve and enjoy!
To keep warm
1. Take your dish out of the oven or the fire
Cover properly with a lid and/or aluminum foil.
2. Put your dish with its lid in the bag
Place a protective cloth in the bottom of the bag to prevent soiling.
Place the dish in the bag.
Place the bag's cap on the dish's lid.
3. Close securely
Close the bag using the drawstring.
Make sure the bag is properly closed.
Keep warm without reopening the bag.
4. When you are ready, take the dish out of the bag
Open the bag. Careful, the pan is hot.
Take the saucepan out of the bag.
Serve and enjoy!
To keep cold
1. Put your cold drinks and food in the bag
Cool your food before placing it in the bag.
Place your cold food or cold drinks (or with an ice pack) in the bag.
2. Seal the bag tightly
Fold the bag lid down over your food.
Pull on the cord to close it properly and limit air exchange.
3. Transport or store
The bag keeps your food fresh for up to 6 hours, depending on the outside temperature.
Use it for your everyday meals, a picnic, a sporting outing or a trip.
4. Tips for greater efficiency
Limit openings to keep the cold in.
Add an ice pack to prolong the duration.
