Commitments

At Jack Meal, commitment is not a pose.

It is a framework for work, a daily requirement, and a promise that we try to keep at every stage — from design to use.

We don't want to engage in greenwashing.
We are aware that if we wanted to have no carbon impact, we would simply not produce anything.

We want to manufacture with meaning — by designing well-made alternatives to the multitude of everyday objects.
Useful, durable objects, designed for all their lives: at home, elsewhere and beyond.

Our impact is also measured by what we help to recycle and reuse, by the social reintegration we promote, and by the economy we redistribute.

Part of our revenue is dedicated to supporting a different economy — one of sharing, solidarity, and environmental transition. Because it's not a belief: it's a conviction.

We want to help build a fairer world, where wealth flows towards environmental, humanitarian, and social programs. That's the world we want to live in—and we hope you do too.

Finally, let's be clear: we would like a world with less, much less plastic.
If we use recycled material, it is to reuse what already exists — not to encourage the production of virgin material.
For us, this should be the norm: to use recycled plastic whenever possible, and to rethink our practices so that they make sense.

Products designed to last

Products designed to last

Our products are designed to last — in their strength, design and usefulness.
Each product is designed to be used, repaired and recycled when the time comes.
We integrate end-of-life considerations from the design stage, so that nothing is left to chance.

Recycled materials, natural fibers and local supply chains help to reduce the carbon footprint, while maintaining a high level of quality and repairability.

Because a well-designed, useful and durable object is already a step in the right direction.

Simplicity and circular economy

Simplicity and circular economy

Jack Meal is part of a circular economy approach:

  • materials sourced from recycling in France,
  • materials produced near our manufacturing sites
  • a short supply chain production
  • and a real reduction in energy consumption thanks to passive cooking.

Our approach is based on frugality: using less energy, fewer resources, and less transportation to create more local value, more utility, and more opportunities to serve. For us, frugality is not a compromise—it's a way to create better, to be more demanding.

Promoting local employment and reintegration

Promoting local employment and reintegration

We work with partner workshops in France that promote local employment and professional reintegration. Our manufacturing choices support a human-scale economy based on cooperation, proximity, and the transmission of skills. Creating locally also means preserving manual trades and giving meaning back to production.

So far our production is 100% French. And we are working towards obtaining the Origine France Garantie certification.

We support humanitarian organizations and are seeking B-Corp certification.

Jack Meal is a member of the 1% for the Planet movement :
Each year, we donate 1% of our revenue to concrete environmental projects, supporting energy transition, reforestation and sustainable local development.

We've also begun the B Corp certification process , a demanding framework that assesses a company's overall impact on society and the environment. We're not there yet, wish us luck.
